Stub Drill Bit are mainly used for drilling a variety of hole sizes and consist of either a point for making a hole or a larger blunt tip which is used to enlarge a drilled hole. Some engineers use the step drill bit for deburring drilled holes. Stub Drill Bit are available in HSS and HSS-Co. Stub drill bits are manufacture as per IS 5100. For the most demanding drilling applications in metal materials 135° Split Point drills are also manufactured.
